CRYING IS EASY,IT IS CHANGE THAT IS NEEDED- Poju Oyemade

The real difficulty that confronts the human nature is change. The pride of life is an unwillingness to change and this hardness of the heart is probably what is most responsible for the stagnation people experience.

Esau was willing to cry but to change i.e repent was his big challenge. He constantly refused the nudging of the Spirit in the areas he needed to change. A person who will resist change will find it impossible to enter into what God has prepared for him or her.

Hebrews 12:17 “For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.”

You may weep in prayer, nothing wrong with that but to get results the weeping must be an expression of godly sorrow which leads to repentance.

When you start coming up against real difficulty and the journey becomes tough, hitting on an invisible glass ceiling that sets a limit on your potential, you know deep within that there is more in you that needs to be expressed, this is not the fulfillment of what you can see with your inner eye, you struggle but still no real movement it’s a call to change.

Proverbs 13:15 “Good understanding giveth favour: but the way of transgressors is hard.”

This is not about trying to be like someone else or to succeed as defined by popular culture, No, it’s that your authentic inner man knows what is going on is not a reflection of what lies within, it’s time to unlearn somethings you have embraced in other to be able to learn new things.

This change termed repentance in the King James edition is what people resist. The resistance is called the hardness of the heart. This is what steals the joy of our Christian life which is to be an experience of the grace of God from a position of rest.
